Te Mata Estate Merlot Cabernets is a New Zealand red wine from the Hawke’s Bay wine growing region of New Zealand’s North Island. Te Mata was established in 1896 and remains family owned today. All of the wines are estate produced.

The winery writes "Dark ruby with a bright purple edge, Estate Vineyards Merlot/Cabernets has ripe raspberry and blackberry on the nose and a palate that unfolds with Black Doris plum, cherry syrup, mint and cocoa-powder. Brambly, ripe, cabernet fruit sits atop soft, savoury tannins.
