Le Fleur De Bouard Lalande De Pomerol
The vines are spread over two types of terroirs: 17 hectares of mixed clay and sand and 8 hectares of clay and gravelly soil. The grape varieties are 80% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvested and sorted by hand and carefully, the vinification is done by gravity and with the greatest care. The ageing is long, from 18 to 24 months, in oak barrels, 75% new.
Style Notes :
- Variety: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon
- Origin: France
- Locality: Lalande De Pomerol
Tasting Notes :
The Fleur de Boüard has a dark purple colour with beautiful purplish tints and is above all fruity. On the nose, black fruits explode, ending in notes of chocolate and liquorice. The mouth is greedy, with aromas of blackberry coulis, a hint of cherry and dried herbs. The texture is silky and the tannins are tight. The freshness is there until the end. Goes perfectly with dishes in sauce, game or a tasty piece of meat.
