Tasting Notes :

This cherry-hued Pinot, made by larger-than-life McLaren Vale producer d'Arenberg, is sourced from the cooler Adelaide Hills region next door. Supple, simple and likable, it opens with bushels of blueberry and raspberry fruit, whispering something savory, peppery and meaty. Light and velvety, the fruit skitters across palate. The only hair out of place is the tannins, which turn bitter and a little astringent particularly at the finish.
