D Arenberg Feral Fox Pinot Noir
Clearly a good vintage, the pure fruits drive this wine. More layers of complexity are revealed as the wine opens up, making for a rewarding drinking experience. The structure and balance of this wine put it in good stead to age for up to 15 years.
Style Notes :
- Variety: Pinot Noir
- Origin: Australia
- Locality: McLaren Vale
Tasting Notes :
This cherry-hued Pinot, made by larger-than-life McLaren Vale producer d'Arenberg, is sourced from the cooler Adelaide Hills region next door. Supple, simple and likable, it opens with bushels of blueberry and raspberry fruit, whispering something savory, peppery and meaty. Light and velvety, the fruit skitters across palate. The only hair out of place is the tannins, which turn bitter and a little astringent particularly at the finish.
