Astrolabe Province Marlborough Chardonnay

Astrolabe is a Marlborough-based winery founded by Simon and Jane Waghorn, dedicated to expressing the distinct character of the region's different sub-zones through site-specific, minimal-intervention winemaking. Our vision is to let each vineyard site speak for itself, crafting wines that are honest, textural and true to place.

Our Astrolabe Province range celebrates the classic flavours of Marlborough as a whole, blending fruit from across the region's key sub-zones to create wines of great typicity and everyday elegance.

TASTING NOTES:
Color: Bright pale gold

Nose: Inviting aromas of white peach and citrus blossom, layered with subtle notes of toasted almond and a light creamy oak character

Palate: A well-rounded, textural palate with flavours of ripe stone fruit, lemon curd and a gentle nutty complexity from partial barrel fermentation. Balanced acidity carries through to a long, harmonious finish

Serving temperature: Drink at 10ºC to 12ºC (50ºF to 54ºF)

Food pairing: Recommend with roast chicken, pan-seared scallops, creamy risottos and semi-hard cheeses
